In the recent history of the surface technology High Velocity Oxy-Fuel Flame Spraying, there is hardly a process which has made such a big leap forward in development as cold spraying. Both high-performance systems and portable equipment for mobile operations are readily available on the market and continue to facilitate new cold spray applications. For this reason, cold spraying will be one of the focal points at the HVOF Colloquium 2009.

However, other high-velocity systems have also undergone decisive development. New findings made by industry and research have opened up new areas of application and helped to optimize the use and efficiency of high velocity oxy-fuel flame spraying.
